Not that Plum would know. Or does he...?

Happy Halloween, everyone! The day this is going up is not Halloween, and I was originally going to wait until then to do this, but I decided to swap two uploads around, to make this my proper 700th upload to DeviantART! Dang, that's alot. I should really make some specials for these things.

Anyway, the story to this picture continues from former uploads (all of two, really). For those of you new here, Plum, the wheelchaired Rex in green, grew up without wings and a muscle defect in his legs, preventing him from easily walking. He also grew up without his mother, who passed away shortly after Plum was born, leaving his father, Spike, to care for him; problem is, he had his own health problems to deal with. Finding that it was becoming more and more difficult for him to take care of himself and his son, Spike gave up Plum to a foster home with the intention of reclaiming him as his child once he was able to get a better footing. Sadly, that day never came, as Spike would pass away from unknown causes. Plum, now an orphan, would never know about his father's fate until he one day later broke from the foster home in a desperate search to find him, only to discover a letter in his old home of his passing. Fortunately, he would be adopted by Kyle, Cinnamon, and Simon just a couple days later.

However, Spike is in a predicament: unlike others who have passed and have arrived at the gates to the Overthere or the pits of the Underwhere, Spike... found himself at either. He is currently a wandering spirit, nothing but the tattoo he has on his arm and a halo over his head. He is left to wander the afterlife aimlessly, unable to move to the Overthere, or even find the spirit of his wife. Alternatively, he has been able to follow Plum, and watch him grow and experience life from beyond. It's his only purpose now; it's all he has left.

This picture was an idea that I've had for quite awhile, but decided to bring it in now, and as a Halloween picture. Sure, it's not very scary, but it does have that unsettling feel to it. It could be that Plum, and his love for photography, may have caught his father's apparation in one of his pictures, causing him to have a hard reaction to what he might be looking at. Once again, it's not extremely scary or terrifying, but it could be, depending on the person!
