Chapter 5: To Hunt a Dragon
A sergal female slowly crept through the forest in search of prey. She kept low to the ground and mostly out of sight, as much as that was possible for her. Her purple mane and blue stripes didn’t do that much for camouflage, especially since they didn’t have camo clothing, or indeed any clothing at all. At least her partner in the hunt had a similar issue. She found her eyes darting occasionally over to the other sergal female she was hunting with. Her partner had a long flowing mane, bright and sapphire blue, she was also curvier than most sergals ever got with a rather nice set of…
“Ellin” Kate barked under her breath, “Are you checking me out again?”
“I. uh. N-n-no I” Ellin stammered, “Its just... Its kinda nice to have another sergal around, you know… not that many of us about”
“Oh, they seem to have gathered a few for the show. Speaking of, please focus on bagging some guy’s ass rather than looking at mine.”
“Oh right I… I’m sorry I swear a I wasn’t…. SHIT” Ellin flattened then pointed up, “You saw that?”
“Ya. Way to big for a drone. You think one of the guys is flying? Kind of risky if they get stunned up there.”
“Ya. And it means we’ll have to stay low. Or he will see us.. hey. K-Kate? What are you doing?”
Kate was climbing a tree. He was holding her stunner in her mouth while using the claws on her hands and hand-like feet to grip the bark and scurry straight up the side.
“Is that wise? He could see you!”
“I know. And when he tries to get me I’ll bag myself a dragon” Kate said after spitting her gun out. She was high enough up that she could walk on branches now and was peering around to track Nevian’s movements.
“What if he gets you”
“If Nevian gets me then just get him before he can carry me off” Kate pointed at a bush near the tree, “Hide for now.”
Ellin sighed and pressed herself into the bush. This kind of activity would get annoying when one was naked, judging from how many branches were now poking her boobs, but she was more hidden, and she could still see a bit of Kate up in the tree where she was looking for the dragon.
Nevian was starting to think scouting ABOVE the trees wasn’t exactly going to work. He could hardly see anything below him through the branches and if he tried to fly UNDER the canopy, he would have a hard time at best not running into, everything. What perked up his attention was some odd motion in the treetops. Glancing over he say some rustling leaves and a flash of a bright blue that would NOT be normal in the forest.
He circled closer to get a better look. His heart started to pick up when he realized who he had seen in the trees, and he could feel himself getting hard at the thought. Then his heart went into overdrive as he rolled to the side to avoid a volley of energy darts that came flying in his direction
“SHIT” Nevian tried to scramble with his own blaster, a feat not too easy when flying even if his arms were free. He tried to return fire, but his shots went as wild as the ones that came for him.
Nevian dropped altitude as another couple stun bolts arced overhead. Once he had though he realized he didn’t have to. They would have missed anyway. Was she just a bad shot? Or was she trying to miss him? It would be dangerous to be stunned out here, maybe she was trying to force him to land first?
Nevian felt a smile form as he put it together. Kate was in the tree. There would be at least one other girl he didn’t see. If he landed, they could ambush him. So, what he had to do was….

With a roar he fired some bolts in Kate’s direction. Knowing full well they would likely just hit branches, but at the same time he rushed the tree, flapping hard. He dodged side to side slightly at random to avoid any bolts before they were even fired and then shielded his face with his arms as he body slammed his way into the canopy.
“Hi Kate” Nevian growled as he claws and talons tore branches and gouged the tree trunk to bring him to a stop.
“Shit” Kate had reacted to his charge fairly fast and was leaping her way around to the other side of the tree, She clearly hadn’t expected a full charge out of the sky like he had done. The pair leveled their blasters and started shooting.
Kate was a bit more agile overall, especially in the confines of the tree branches, but Nevian could just tear them away to make his moves, not to mention using the torn off branches to block Kate’s bolts.
Kate did her best, but Nevian was a bit more capable than she had given him credit for. The big strong jock was very much big and strong and was quickly gaining on her. She couldn’t very well overpower him and she had wasted to many shots trying to force him down. When a trigger squeeze resulted in a click instead of a shot she decided to do her last hail Mary. She stopped trying to scramble away form
Nev and instead braced herself and launched toward him. The last ammo she could get after all as the ammo that HE had.
She collided with the dragon in the chest and felt one arm close around her. It wouldn’t matter much though if she could get the gun out of his other hand. She scrambled and grabbed for it trying her hardest and a part of her thought she would have had a chance to get it. If a loud crack hadn’t run out as the branch they were both now on gave up the ghost.
Nevian fell first. Kate was above him. She could see him start to freak out, then at the last second he spread his wings wide and pulled her into a hug just before they slammed into the ground.
“ugh… ow” Kate squirmed. She was the less rattled one, having landed on Nev and gotten some padding that way. Nevian himself looked dazed.
“Shit . ahh. Crap are you ok?” Kate crawled up his chest to look him in the eyes and was glad to see that they both focused on her.
“I … ow… but I think I slowed us down enough.” Nev took a breath, “Just gunna be sore.”
“Ya.. sorry…” Kate sat up, “And thanks… for catching me on the way down”
“No problem” Nevian groaned again as he pulled himself into a sitting position. “My gun’s gone so I guess this is a draw… Lets not do it again though”
“No.. I think sticking to the ground would be … much better” Kate agreed, the relief at their relatively uninjured state causing her to break out in a grin and a chuckle.
Nevian joined her chucking, the back and forth causing them to get into a real fit of giggled until Nevian suddenly locked up, eyes going wide, before falling back onto the ground twitching.
A very Excited Ellin jumped up and down, “I GOT HIM!!”
