Splendid idea. Give those horrible finny critters to the bacteria, then let 'em stew it all up into something palatable.
Which indicates how smart the Romans were too, dontcha think? Ie., in finding a way to put some pretty good fishy nutrition into their diet without raaalfing all over their togas.
