A little project I worked on for myself over the course of a few days. It's my first attempt at working on a "Raffy" so there are a lot of things I can improve on for the next one. Though overall I am pretty happy with how she turned out. The entire time of working on it I had "My Little Dagrons" running through my head to the tune of "My Little Pony" XP Buh.
Anywhos, Raffy is a branch of of the "Munnys" which are toy blanks made by Kidrobot, they are pretty darn awesome and a lot of fun to do! You can pick them up at a lot of hobby stores.
Project details:
For this project I used Premo! Sculpey for the added parts, which were the horns and the tail. For colors I used acrylic paints for the base, and Prisma markers to do the detailing. Finishing it off with a clear coat of acrylic gloss. Next time I think I will go for a Matte finish. Hair tuff was made from faux fur. You also can't see it in the pictures, but I added pink paw pads to the bottom of her feet.
Hope you enjoyed this little project of mine, I hope to do more in the future!

Neat and very interesting! What is the base made out of? I'm always surprised to see mods like this (be it munny, raffy or MLP) and hear that they survived going into an oven or something to harden up the sculpey.
Cute though! Needs googly eyes to be a proper dagron though.
Hehe I tease!

Haha I was thinking of doing that with the googly eyes actually XP but just didn't seem right by the time I was done. :p These are also made of Vinyl and can go right in the over with sculpey with no issues. I don't much understand it either, all I know if that there is no puddle of vinyl after all is said and done.
oh my GOD this is ADORABLE! really fantastic work, looks very crisp! quick question, when you added the extra parts, did you bake it while it was on the munny? or separately and then attach them? I don't know how that really works..
I love the hair floof too – really brings it all together!

This particular one I baked the parts first and attatched them on with super glue. Another I was working on this evening I baked with the parts on, and the parts fused into the Munny itself. Either way works just fine, you can also boil the Munny with the sculpey parts on for 3 minutes for the same effect.
Just be careful when you bake it, the Munny itself does get a bit soft, but doesn't seems to warp or anything from what I could tell. =3
