The TIE Wolf was designed for use in ground environments on hostile or insurgent worlds in need of pacification, the TIE Wolf was heavily armored if it's size and featured a range of accessories the benefit the tasks it was designed to fulfill. A number of TIE Wolf's were originally destined to join the Imperial garrison on Endor but were destroyed in route by rebel agents in an unrelated strike as they were being transported alongside materials meant for the second Death Star, the rest of the line would be seen on various worlds since then and a few would even be acquired by criminals for use against their enemies.
