"Take a deep breath, and join us."
-Lenneth
This started out as an attempt to draw Lenneth without a reference, and it turned out a lot better than I had hoped for. This was shelved for months because I coloured it during the time I still did solid shadings. That method was not good for my mental health as I tend to overthink about how to do it for every piece. Now that I embraced softshading, I took the time to finish this.
I have the theory that the Vaal Hazak's effluvium is actually a sort of nerve agent, and to succumb to it is to be trapped in the dragon's neural network. That's how it weakens hunters, enrages monsters, and allows the Hazak to kill them by sucking out their life forces. In Lenneth's case, she can do all those, but she usually makes her gas benign. The main effect is by succumbing to it, she establishes an empathic link with her subject, allowing them to feel what the other feels, and Lenneth can influence their actions and behaviour.
