Pet-sitting can be a really boring at times, but sometimes inspiration might pop up in unexpected ways. Take this tubby lil' guy, for example. Those of you with Hobby Lobby's near-by might be interested in knowing that they've suddenly gotten a large selection of quite chubby garden figures in, including some rather portly bunnys. Being on sale for only a $1 each, I bought a set of the 3 poses they had, but then it hit me.... why couldn't I possibly repain one? So I bought an extra one...
After being satified that a primer coat over the orginial fake rock paint job wasn't going to melt the lil guy, matching up craft paints to my colors, and spending several days laying down layers to get a smooth coat of color... I now have a 5" tall mini-me, hehe.
I wish his ears were floppy, then he'd be perfect! He may not be eactly like this lop, but that big ol belly that buldges past his paws makes him pretty hard not to love all the same.
