The TIE Escort, commonly referred to as the Pocket TIE, was a smaller variant of the classic TIE/ln Starfighter that was meant to be carried on board craft where the standard TIE was too large or too snug of a fit. Over all, the TIE Escort offered nothing that TIE/ln didn't already provide aside from a small profile and a cheaper price tag, it used the exact same weaponry as the TIE/ln which meant that while it was smaller it was still as dangerous as the typical TIE/ln in combat.
