Original Species: Verdant Snipper
Time for another small creature.
The Verdant Snipper is another large (by Earth standards) arthropod that can be found in lush, green forests around the world. Much like the Veekopf, it is also a herbivore and feeds on low-growing vegetation. It also has a taste for certain mushroom species; this fact is used by mushroom hunters who follow Snippers around as they forage.
They are harmless to humans, as long as they are not bothered. If you look at them, even from up close, they won't react, but if physical contact is attempted, they will use their pincers to attack (people have been known to lose fingers because of such encounters).
