The V-21R Cyclone was a updated civilian release version of the Clone Wars era V-21 Cyclone Starfighter, the V-21R was designed primarily as a dedicated racing craft and strictly for civilian use. It lacked any weapon systems, it had Civilian Grade I armor and shields. These limitations did not stop pirates and Rebel cells for purchasing these Racing craft for usage as armed starfighters, it was capable of matching the RZ-1 A-Wing interceptor in both speed and maneuverability but even with modifications it was less armed than the RZ-1 A-Wing. When not being used as fighters for the Rebellion or by pirates, the V-21R enjoyed a successful career as a Racing craft.
