Musaamik's first rainy day in this new world was an unpleasant surprise as the first droplet splashed directly into her eye when she glanced nervously up at the rapidly darkening sky. The bright sun was soon shuttered behind roiling, dark grey clouds that opened in an utter deluge of water that soaked the aalukris through in minutes as she scrambled to find adequate shelter. Though water did sometimes trickle down through the densely packed canopy foliage and make its way down the massive trunks to pool in select spots, there was never an open spot in the canopy that allowed rain to pour down unhindered. As the ground soaked around her, turning dirt to mud and her wet fur slicked down into awkward spikes despite her attempt to shield herself with her wings, a baleful glance outward would allow the barest gleam of blue eyes to be seen from beneath the log.

Ahh poor gal. You can see how forlorn she looks about this whole circumstance! Poor furred gal...Drying that must take a while
That said, god I wish it'd rain like that here where I live; I'm so tired of winter and ready for spring and summer again; I want those nice heavy rain showers!

I love me some Musaamik misery; her face is so suited to looking pettable!
Well, her normal environment is a bio-luminescent jungle with a canopy so thick that sunlight can't penetrate it, and if light can't go through then rain can't really either! It gathers on the branches and is channeled down well-worn flood paths down the trunks of the trees to pool on the forest floor. It doesn't really drip evenly through the leaves because the tree cover is so dense.
