Well, what do you know? We've got another "Dr. Strangelove" fanart in my gallery...& it's my first colored picture of General Buck Turgidson! :D This piece borrows a concept from the lyrics to one of the songs in my proposed Broadway adaptation of "Dr. Strangelove", in which Buck sings to President Muffley about the importance of democracy (along with his usual anti-Communist tirades & spats with Ambassador DeSadeski). In a pastiche of the classic "I Want You" posters, Buck advises the audience to not put red upon their flag...unless it's joined by white & blue!
And, for those who might take offense to the anti-Communist subtext, let me make one thing clear: I personally believe that Marxist socialism, in its pure & original form, is a good thing--in theory--although the nature of living creatures can make it a not-so-good thing in practice...
...but given the fact that his movie is set in the times of the Cold War, Buck's not so sure about the positive side of socialism... ^^;
BUCK: If there is one, which I doubt!
ME: Oh, hush, silly! *bonks him on the nose*
BUCK: Ow!
So...what do you think of the picture, guys? :D
And now, for a brief copyright & disclaimer:
* General Buck Turgidson & all other properties & elements related to "Dr. Strangelove" © Stanley Kubrick & Columbia Pictures.
* Artwork © The Mouse Avenger (that's me).
When you're finished reading, please be sure to leave feedback when you're done. I'll take anything from comments to constructive criticism, as long as they're not flames or delivered in an overly-harsh, stern, or mercilessly-nitpicky manner.

Hooray for both of them, I say! ^_^
BUCK TURGIDSON: Don't tell me you're taking *his* side!
ME: Shut *up*, Buck! *puts duct-tape over his mouth, muffling him* Uhhh...my apologies. ^^;; This is what happens when you let imaginary Cold-War-era Air Force generals read your comments.
BUCK TURGIDSON: *still muffled* I'm gonna pretend I did not just hear that...
ME: Anyway, if your ideologies were offended in any way, I sincerely apologize.
