Allow me to give you your very first glance at several characters from one of my non-fanquel projects, an original movie named "Fantasmagoria". In the movie (which was partially-inspired by Ralph Bakshi's "Cool World" & Disney's "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"), Chartreuse, a young cartoonist with dreams of making it big in the art biz, is suddenly pulled into the "imaginary" world that provides the setting for her animated television show project. This magical land, Fantasmagoria, is divided into separate realms (e.g., a movie-themed realm, an art-themed realm, a music-themed realm, etc.), all of which are home to a wide variety of zany characters, including the ones pictured above. From top-left to bottom-right, these are...
* Terpsichore, a tiger from the Fantasmagoria realm of Boogieland (voiced by Cheryl Chase)
* Donna, her mouse friend (voiced by Nicole Kidman)
* Fuzzball, a cat from Fantasmagoria's Central Hub (voiced by Charlie Adler)
* Blossom, a flower-based creature from the realm of Natura (voiced by Angela Lansbury)
* Twiggy, her stick-based friend (voiced by Tom Kenny)
* Allan, a gloomy poet from the realm of Macabria (voiced by John Kassir)
* Bauble, a fun-loving teddy bear from the realm of Kiddieland (voiced by Russi Taylor)
* Trinket, her jack-in-the-box friend (voiced by Mae Whitman)
* Scabel, a ferret hippie from the realm of Psychedelia (voiced by Morris Day)
* Trippy, Scabel's close friend (& secret crush) (voiced by Tara Strong)
* Ace, a hyperactive, gambling lizard from the realm of Arcadia (voiced by Quinton Flynn)
* Monet The Monkey, a painter from the realm of Artborough (voiced by Michael McKean)
* Van Goo, his Play-Doh-based friend (voiced by Edie McClurg)
* Mr. Metamorph, an actor from the realm of Cinematheque (voiced by Anastasia Ashworth [that's me, folks!])
* General "Buck" Scott, a tough army general from the realm of Kriegland (voiced by Anastasia Ashworth)
* Betsy The Encyclocentipedia, a helpful inhabitant of the Central Hub (voiced by Tracey Ullman)
* Sweetie Pie, a sweet-natured squirrel from the realm of Sweet Place (voiced by Shelley Duvall)
* Aquata, a playful water-based creature from Natura (voiced by Bernadette Peters)
The scene is a sandy beach in Natura, with clear skies & bright sunshine filling the air. On the dunes, Terpsichore & Donna dance to the music from Fuzzball's boom-box, while Bauble & Trinket play a game of catch with a Rainbow Beach Ball. Allan was hoping to get some shade (with Blossom serving as a makeshift umbrella), but Twiggy's having trouble keeping balance with Blossom on his shoulders. While Scabel presents Trippy with a seashell, Ace tries not to scream as an angry crab grabs hold of his tail (& Aquata tries her best not to laugh). Monet The Monkey builds a sandcastle with Van Goo, as Mr. Metamorph helps himself to an ice cream cone (with some of the dairy treat landing on General Scott's shoe, much to the military man's chagrin). In the water, Betsy The Encyclocentipedia & Sweetie Pie play a game of "Marco Polo".
So, what do you think, folks? :D
