Lol. Maid walking out is just great.
Though it’s weird, considering what she would usually do, and the fact that since Christopher paid so much money, and how much mess there was, surely she would get a big bonus? Would that not be worth it?

Considering how easily he dealt with the street toughs that was my thought as well.
In an RPG a character of that level would make enough the buy the entire brothel in a few months. Considering the greed of the guy The Butcher might well make him an offer he can't refuse.
I think a similar situation was in a movie once, when someone sold his sports team.
Guy: "Why did you sell your sports team?"
Former Owner: "He said 'How much for the team?', I said '<insert insane amount>'. He said 'Ok'."

Some of the movies from that time never made it to the movie theatres around here and we only saw them on TV.
Because of that and a mistake of mine it took me decades to find the movie 'City beneath the Sea' again and a few years more until it was available at an acceptable price. Still, it was worth it as have been several other old movies.

That's even better... emotionally struck down after he left then he returns and she wants to go with him, but pimp won't let her and is about to hit her to "put her in her place"... then winds up like the rat from earlier in the story... I JUST WANT HIM TO MESS UP THE PIMP, IS THAT SO WRONG?!!!
Well, for one Nora seems pretty emotionally resilient, considering she survived up to this point, and there was the pimp trying to tear her down by saying nobody wants to hear her speak only to have her bat down every attempt. For two... having another beat down a la the thieves from earlier would be very satisfying, but Christopher is apparently the type to only do as much as is necessary. Why expend energy to beat down a pimp when he seems to be quite enamored by gold and riches?
True, but part of me feels he may not wanna let Nora go if Christopher came back for her to maybe buy her out, and therein the conflict may arise and turn to another physical altercation, or at minimum a threat... or maybe that gang walks in on them too (if they are still alive)
I feel like the maid is, in his mind, extremely replaceable. While her walking out is funny, he pays it no mind because he probably thinks he can wave some money and hire a new one.
There has been no (public) indication that Nora matters to the boss aside of how much money she can bring in. She could be Just Another Girl.

Wow she remembered him months later. Yeah that was probably a top tier mess. *laughs* Love the boss doesn't even react, but he has gold in his eyes right now so no surprise.
Also, YAY! Nora has, presumably, not been harmed by any further morons during his absence! Or so I dearly hope for the entirety of this city. ^^; Or he'll go recreating scenes from that Sin City movie. @.@

Oh and really wondering what will be in that sack. ;3 Be funny as heck if it were bits of monsters he's slain. >:D And they are all valuable, they can be sold off for coin, but it's also another big statement of 'I killed them, one wrong move on your part, and you'll join them'. But yeah, definitely wouldn't go that far, he knows he doesn't need to intimidate the guy anymore when greed works so much faster.

I like the reaction of the maid after seeing Christopher; clearly she no longer wants to clean up another "mess" caused by him again, so to speak. In addition, the fact that she has resigned suggests that they don't pay her enough to tolerate that kind of thing, especially if you take into account who her boss is, which is understandable; amazing page and amazing work. XD

And why do i have the feeling that Chris just went to get more stuff to buy Nora out and Mr. Big Boss is either about to die from a heart attack because Chris has SO much gold in that bag that it is enough for the rest of his life, or about to get mad as hell because Chris wants not only to spend a night with Nora, he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
