Moon Knight was one of my absolute favorite comic book characters back then (right up there with The Thing, Man-Thing, and Howard the Duck). I really liked this one and wish I had kept it a little better preserved than I did.

It's really funny you should mention that cause there is a story to go with it. When I started drawing things, I did it in (what I thought at the time) a strange fashion. Basically I would look through my comics until I found a picture of a character that struck my fancy and then I would sit down and draw it. I'd have the book open so I could look at the picture for reference and I'd draw the character free hand. After sketching the main parts I would then compare them side by side and erase what didn't look right to me and start over till I got something that "looked right" to me. With Moon Knight I unfortunately couldn't find a "single" picture that I really thought I could draw and in the end found one picture from the waist up that I really liked and one from the waist down that looked like it would fit. Since I didn't have a complete picture to stare at I ended up trying to figure out how the waist would look if the two pictures were the same and this was the result (after numerous tries). Thus his legs were actually a lot off the rest of him. =)
