No war can be won without logistics, and the quartermasters' role is to ensure that what occurs before and after a battle (which is just as important as what happens in battle itself) occurs smoothly!
And by that measure, even the drones whose primary responsibility is logistics and maintenance must themselves be transported along with their materials left to dangle in their vacbags until their destination has been reached and they can begin work!
