I haven't really been in the mood to draw babies lately, but I got motivated to draw Arneb in the "want uppies" pose.

Find Me On:
Fur Affinity ◈ Weasyl Bit of world-building/behind-the-scenes trivia--thus far, all of my named Jeroban characters have been named after stars. This originated with Deneb, as the name means "Tail" and that was his defining feature so it seemed like a decent name for an alien jerboa-like mutant creature. Later on, when Rigel was added to the cast, I decided to continue the trend on a whim, calling him Rigel as the word means "foot", which seemed fitting, and the idea of naming them after stars sort of became an unofficial rule.
The name Arneb means "hare", which also seems fitting for a long-eared, bouncy creature.
Yes, I do in fact have a list of Arabic star names bookmarked for this purpose...Posted using PostyBirb

The names come from space...
So far, the only outlier is Bellatrix, which comes from Latin--but it's still a star name so it still counts!
