I suspect that for Gruff/Taisherou being stuck in that place was not such a big punishment for him as he seems to really enjoy every minute of what he is doing in that joint especially when there are customers to interact with. Sisari might not have struck very far from the truth with him when she said, "If you so enjoy involvement with mortal kind, then may you find great joy debasing yourself in eternal servitude of their petty needs." I even suspect that once this is over, he might linger around in there doing what he's been doing all this time. If I were him, though, I would relocate the tavern to the village. That way he will get to interact a lot more people.

There is also this one thing though that is not clear. When he said that he was attached to that tavern, how come he was able to get to the multiverse riff device inside the mountain cavern? Is he attached to the tavern or the planet? Also, in the page above, Sisari seems to have been the one that gave him his Gruff the dog appearance. Is it so or he can do as he wants with his appearance like we just saw in the page above? If he can do what he wants, is it possible that he likes to be in that Gruff form, especially when he is in that tavern and around mortal.

O, I forgot to mention...
I find Gruff to be a beautiful character in both of his form. He is very cute. Yea, definitely the first one at the top of the list, follow by Endimion when he is in his xarax-hil form.
And the resemblance between the two is quite close, especially the ears.
I really like that character.

At least we now know that Gruff did not really send Endymion to his death. But damn, Gruff, you are BAD at planning. I guess you keep getting BAD LUCK. LOL

In colloquial American English, "buddy" can be used sarcastically to imply a negative relationship, as it is in this case.

Yea he was not a great guy, but how knows, that bad entity might just be another dragon like that lady who in different form. Who knows, they might have been real buddy a long, long time ago and maybe he was referring to that... Gruff being his critic self always saying part of the story, never the entire story.
