A while back after finishing Okami for the first time, I did on a whim a very light sketch of the Goddess Aman'thena (see here) in the style of one of the 13 Celestials just to see. Recently I scanned said very light sketch that was drawn on old dot matrix printing paper...and for some inexplicable reason I liked the ugly scan and uglier sketched lines so much I decided to work with it, and out came this. Would have added some fancy kanji in the corner but was dry on ideas and have no fonts anyway. Ah, well.

Uwwwaaah :D This is really awesome. I think the sketchy quality in some of the lines really works with this piece, and I love the way it's colored :O.
It feels like an old tapestry or wall painting you'd find after opening a long forgotten room in the palace of some un-named asian country.

I admit it's pretty easy to see why us furry artist-types like Okami, as it has neat wolves and a pretty pretty artstyle (which is not a common thing to say about a game). So at the very least I recommend you give the game a look just for that.
Well that and getting to beat the crap out of Orochi with the aid of magical sake streams you make it chug down each mouth* :D
*it's not a game spoiler if this more or less happens in the original myth! ...only without brushes. Duh.
