Portuguese is similar to Spanish in the way that German and Dutch are similar to English. There are a lot of words there that share some major similarities:
mecanico (mechanic)
Autismo (Autistic, which you got)
importa (important)-- in this case nao importa (no hay importa)-- doesn't matter/not important.
I'm sure a translation will come out soon enough-- it's a meaningful scene between the two and there's just the right kind of "clumsy dialogue" from poor Francis that really makes this scene pop. Certainly does explain a lot about Francis' parents wanting to protect him. I've seen stuff like this happen, sadly.

well see im on the spectrum like him so i can relate, but it's clear they must be overprotective which i can kinda get cuz sometimes with Autism its kinda like the symbol, puzzle pieces are kinda like missing or just not fully fitting, so some aspects are harder to like understand or comprehend or social cues go over our heads or things like love and infatuation can get mixed up
If you search in his comic website. You gonna find in English. https://www.douglas-kim.com/comics
Well I managed to find the English translation and I got to say this one kind of hits close to the heart for me, given how I myself deal with Autism and I think I know the version that Bradley deals with cause it seems like its the same I deal with; high functioning but at the same time there will be flaws, one of which is talking more than we need to which ends up resulting in us saying something that might come off as inappropriate or misinterpreted by others. Our minds just function in a different way that makes sense to us in the moment but often comes as strange or too weird to people outside. But we dont need to be treated differently as its not what defines who we are. Its just a sort of side effect that is the cause of our different way of thinking.
Yeah fair there, you kinda forget what it's like to not be in a circle when you've been in a circle for to long, like being super comfortable with LGBT friends when really old people that never delt with them feel uncomfortable, not hateful just uncomfortable because they don't understand it
Or when your trying to tell your gran how to work a PC and it drives you mad that they don't seem to grasp the basics but it's just because you've become so used to it that it is 'obvious' it's actually not obvious if you have never dealt with it before

@ people wondering how Brad couldn't have noticed: Remember, autism is a spectrum, and it manifests differently for different people. Also autism is still very misunderstood by the allistic community; most people still equate autism with depictions from popular media like Rain Man or Forrest Gump, which are very broad and extreme examples.
And as to why this would even be a big deal... it's not; Francis makes that clear. The problem is again that allistic people think it is because of preconceived notions about the 'hardships' of dealing with people with autism. But autism isn't a disease or a psychological disorder—just a neurological difference in the input of and expression of experiences.

I really like how you are bringing real issues to hand, especially in relationships. I like how you change his expressions and body posture in each panel showing the depth of his speech. You can see the honesty, concern and desire that he wants Brad to understand. I feel there is a need to have more comics about dealing with Autism and mental health. Thank you so much for your thoughtful insight Kimmy, I'm loving this new comic😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🙌👍
You don't to be autistic to drop such a clanger. I should know because that last one could have been me but there is no autism anywhere in me.
So he is autistic. Well, so what? No big deal. I bet Brad will see it the same way and also won't get that "only our mechanic" wrong. He is a sweet guy with a heard of gold. They both are.

I'm excited for this I really am cuz I myself am on the spectrum I have a high functioning Asperger's. Which is a form of autism and how Francis is acting and describing things right now is how I also describe an act. And it's true our mind works in a million different ways than other people. So I can completely relate to this I kind of picked up on it a little bit in the beginning but I didn't want to assume. Cuz that's the worst thing you can do. I'm excited to see where this goes and I'm happy that this comic has little to no hard intimacy. You can already tell that they like and even love each other without showing them doing things. So I hope call it what you want continues and has a bright future ahead of it cuz I'm really curious to see where this goes. And oh my God a man who is gay but also on the autism spectrum thank you Douglas Kim!!!!! 🥰😍🥰😘
