Things have just been kinda tough lately...
Strangely enough, drawing this made me feel a bit better.

Its true ya know.
Expressing ones self in words, actions or paint is what gives one relief. That is how most paintings become masterpieces. Not the color, or the detail, or how well its drawn but the emotion it portrays.
All that aside thats a pretty darned nice capture of emotion :D

Outstanding. The expression there almost doesn't need the rest of the body.
It's maybe not surprising it worked so well for you, given how the creative process sometimes works. For me, certainly, drawing puts me in almost a meditative state - I'm fully aware of everything, but my concentration, my real *attention*, closes focus right on the paper. When I'm (more or less) done, it's like looking back up a steep ski slope I've just made my way down - *I* did *that*? =:D
Hope the underlying cause diminishes soon. But that's a special pic.

The creative arts are often an outlet for a person's feelings. An artist creates pictures to express his inner turmoil, a writer creates a story or poem to reflect her loneliness.
It's always good to use your talents to soothe your pain and sorrow. It's much more productive than some of the alternatives.

A sketch that makes me almost wince... you captured a strong emotion here. Drawing does that sometimes for me, I should probably use it as an outlet more often. I hopw this doesn't sound cheapened coming from someone who doesn't know you very well, but I hope things get better soon, if they haven't already.
