Another request form Chris45, and as you probably already guessed, it was another old series that I heard about but was never really into.


In all honesty, Gegege no Kitaro is another example of a series that, while I of course heard about it in the past, wasn't that interested in or really bothered to check out, and thus, I'm not even gonna bother trying to write up any kind of cool stories for this character as I don't exactly know a whole lot about him. In other words, this was once again one of those blind draws where, despite me not knowing only a small amount of information regarding the character themselves, I still decided to draw it anyway regardless of this, which honestly, aside from AstroBoy which I knew somewhat more about, is something I have to do A LOT for Chris45 as, everytime he requests someting from me, he decides to give me a request from a series that I know hardly anything about despite having heard a little about it.

And a little note about the character's design. I had to do EXTENSIVE modifications to get them to work with my artstyle, even going to the point of just redesigning him entirely while keeping the most important features - Something I've never done with even Pamela Bondoni for that matter. In other words, this is probably the hardest character I've ever drawn as not only did I have to work with some very detailed clothing (especially the striped pattern), but I also had to completely remodel him to fit my artstyle in the first place!


Once again, not knowing anything about the series aside from the name and what the main protagonist looks like, I'm not gonna try to think up a story for this one.


Kitaro and Gegege no Kitaro belong to Shonen Jump (I think that's who published it. I could be wrong though).
