http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19023037/ is the prequel to this... the finished products
Top left picture: Three trays, 1st tray contains whole meal flour, 2nd tray (although its not shown) will contain an egg mix made with 3 eggs and a little milk, beaten well. The 3rd and last tray, I made a simple crumb mix from Cornflakes, pepper, salt, herbs and spices.
To crumb anything its dip in flour, dunk in the egg mix, roll in the crumbs, set aside in the fridge for a short time then either deep or shallow fry in hot oil. Remembering to turn the items over if in shallow oil.
Top Right image: is a photo of the Chicken Tenders crumbed and ready to cook
Bottom Right: are the finished cooked Tenders ready to be served with some Aioli sauce or Sour Cream and Sweet Chilli Sauce
The Central Picture: are a few crumbed vegetables. Potatoes to the left, Broccoli and Cauliflower at the top.
The Central Picture: at the bottom of the plate is also few Patties that I call Waste Not Patties
Waste Not Patties
The reason behind the name is that I hate wasting food. The two things that I run out of and don't like to waste is the egg mix and the crumb mix so I developed a leftover patty from them that is cheesy, golden, full of flavour and come out really nice.
Take the left over crumb mix, 2 tablespoons of the left over flour, any left over egg mix and add 2 eggs, 2-3 tablespoons of tomato sauce or chutney. Mix these well then add in a handful of a grated nice melting cheese. I used mozzarella. You can also add grated veg, finely diced ham or other meats if desired I stuck with cheese. You may have to adjust the liquid level depending on how much egg mix you have left, you want the mix to hold together. Make them into flattened balls and pop into the hot oil until golden brown.
