Being a goalie always takes a special brand of crazy, because who really wants to get pelted with balls for a living and be subject to all the shame when you don't throw your body in front of one? All the pressure and beatings your body takes from it, but to contrast that there's the thrill of making a big save or stopping the other guy from scoring. And no better thrill than being the best at your job either like Alex is. In the heat of a big moment, you always want to depend on your best players to step up, and here he was making a clutch diving save to preserve a victory.

Since Alex is my athletic self and fursona meant to be living my dream of playing goalie professionally, it only made sense to get something of him showing off that skill. So here was something I got a while back and didn't realize I forgot to post featuring him making a difficult diving save. Having played for years myself, this sort of stop is very hard to do but feels so good if you can manage it, and it looks really cool and dynamic. Felt like it'd be cool to have Alex like this, just naturally without shoes since I wanted to show his feet still.
