I got myself a new character via adoption from 
RockBaker Now that all the adoption papers are done with I can introduce you all to her.
Meet Sherri. She's a cute (s you can see lol) Squirrel who likes making friends, longs strolls on the beach and collecting nuts. Like seriously she's got all kinds.
But don't let her cute appearance fool you. If you ever do anything to betray her trust, she'll never speak to you again... unless you give her a lot of nuts. But you'd be on thin ice buster!

One thing I've picked up on is that we all have different styles, and people are responsive to many different styles -which is fortunate, when you make your living as a cartoonist!
Your drawing of Sherri is different from what I did, but as I noted, her cuteness is still front and center. I think it's a good take on the character!
