Loved this movie as a kid and haven't seen it in a long time. Silly fun, with some surprisingly sharp social commentary(ish). Ie the general's not only willingness but seeming enthusiasm about possibly taking out all senate members in the process of shooting down the Model T "UFO".

There are a few movies of that era that I caught on rereleases at drive-in theaters when I was about that age. Mary Poppins and The Love Bug come to mind. The Absent Minded Professor and a bunch of other good ones like Bedknobs and Broomsticks, I didn't see until rental videos became a thing in the very early 80s. The Disney Channel popped up soon after anyway and showed even more obscure stuff to fill their time slots. Like The Boatniks. I might have to draw that one...
