Actually, it kinda sounds like you're doing your own sort of virtue signaling. If people ignored the issue just because they were far away, Ukraine would be alone. Besides, you assume we're all an "ocean away". There's no ocean between Europe and Ukraine. I rarely get that out of non-Americans, and a common fault of Americans is a tendency to criticize others for what they support even when the critic supports it, too. "Gatekeeping" as it's known.

You're right about one thing. Hypocrisy is real. It's also a common talking point for hypocrites. I do suggest you look inwards before you hurl criticisms outwards.

If you've got time to throw random criticism at others on FA, you've got time to you could also use to do something useful about the issue. Of course, you have every right to spend your time poking around on FA, but if the Ukraine issue means so much to you, well, that time might be better spent helping Ukraine.
