Duskbirds: "Nihilism vs Existentialism" [ Sketch Comic ]

This was a fun comic to do! It's a thought I've idly had over the years, and it was fun to try and note down those thoughts in a (hopefully) straightforward way.
If you might be interested, I also wrote a short-but-longer post expanding on some of these thoughts on this comic's website page here: https://duskbirds.com/2022/03/12/ni.....xistentialism/
Visit Duskbirds.com for more comics! I have a few pages there I haven't uploaded in other places yet.

you want my tip? find a way to be at peace with yourself from your living. (I'm still working on it as well ;) )
For me it was when I acknowledged we all have an inner monster deep inside us. Learning to live with it and tame it will be the struggle of a life. And from all people, the one who are aware of that inner monster are the most human persons that I ever met.

I wish you the best with what you are going through. I'm not sure if it might help, but for me personally, what helps me with mistakes I've made (and we have all made mistakes!) is aiming to improve going forward. Recognizing that I am the only one who can correct past mistakes I've made (as much as possible) helps give me the resolve to try to always be improving. I'm not perfect at this, of course (I don't think anyone is), but hopefully I am better at it today compared to, for example, ten years ago. And ideally, ten years from now, I will be better at it still! It is a continuous journey, and we all travel upon it at our own pace.
*excited, bouncy dragon* Another duskbirb comic!
I struggle with anxiety, and every day is a challenge, often finding myself drifting towards Nihilism :(
The fight is to push back and reach towards Existentialism.
Be you, do what makes you happy!
Cherish the moments with the ones you care about!
Create a legacy you can be proud of if that's your thing, we are immortal in the memories of the next generation!

Glad you enjoy these!
I agree with your words, you said them well. I've also experienced anxiety, and sentiments similar to your words have personally been helpful. For me, some of it was also physiological (I definitely experience more anxiety if I haven't slept well, or haven't eaten properly, for example). I wish you the best with your everyday struggles, getting through each day is a success not to take for granted! :)
