Oh man I loved that movie. So wonderfully dark in a way that only 70s animated movies were. Manny was a cool character. Read the book though, the author is Russel Hoban. If you thought the movie was dark, the book is even darker. I read it 8 or so years ago, and I remember Manny being a bit more evil but still very likeable.
Haven't read the book (yet) but I saw the movie on TV as a kid. All I could remember were the wonderful, magical theme song(s), the "Much in Little" demonstration with the axe, and the title. Took years to find it again. So very glad you drew this - hope to eventually see more art of these characters. And so many fans in here...!
