Lately... for the last few months really, I've been suffering occasional pain in my shoulder as well as a lack of mobility in it.
My general practitioner had me get an X-ray and figured it was a pinched nerve and asked me to go to see a physiotherapist for some exercises to help work it loose.
One trip to the sports clinic later and I got a new prognosis. I have a Frozen Shoulder.
Long story short, some muscles in my shoulder decided to "stick" and will remain that way for 4-6 months. While it happens more often in people with Thyroid problems and Diabetes, it really can happen to anyone and there is no known reason for it.
The general treatment is some anti-inflammatory salve, a page of mobility exercises and if I wind up in great pain, take a T3 tablet.
Thank goodness for the Canadian Health Care plan.
