How does an adaptable work?

An artist creates a design, sometimes fully originally, sometimes from a base from which they add color and detail.
The artist puts this design up for sale. Sometimes as a flat rate, sometimes as an auction
Whomever buys the design can use it for further work for non-commercial purposes, usually by commissioning other artists to do art of that design.

I usually use Adoptables to help fill out a setting with extra characters, or give a character that I have a personality decided for but not necessarily a design.

I'd be interested in adopting her if nobody else has yet.
