So…. Which looks better? Red facing right, and the poster on the Right, or Red facing left and the Poster on the Left?
The reason I ask is which people prefer and what should be the emphasis. Especially since typically people look from left to right, what’s the emphasis? The girl, or the propaganda poster (the message)? Typically, a good image is where the viewer has their gaze wander the whole image, and truth be told, direction facing maybe matters more in film or sequential storytelling (do we move our camera to the left or the right?)
Painting the City Red (with truth and personal life experiences)
In the modern age, I am just kind of done seeing all the propaganda being spit out from my media nowadays (honestly, maybe I need less screen time and just walk away). But anyways, we like to use Propaganda to rally our fellow man to feel an emotional response, and then manipulate the community to behave according to our desires. We like to create scapegoats, or create “villains” in our own narratives. This is what led to the German and Japanese Nationalism during WW2. And after that the Chinese Revolution led by Mao. And these tactics have been employed ever since. Of course, there is “positive” propaganda too. But ultimately, it is best to nurture the community conscience through individual thinking and encourage communication, to have views be challenged and become better from it.
The reasons why the Wolf is an endangered species that was at one time wiped out from the States was because of how they were villainized to be what is eating the hard work of the farmers (who couldn’t be bothered to make better fencing). And why men are perceived to be predators and girls can do no wrong, “incels” in contrast to “the me 2” movement. Just as there is toxic masculinity, there is also toxic feminity (the “Karen” who cries “Wolf” or “Help, a Black Man!”). And rather than continue to foster this toxic relationship through media, we should encourage everyone to work in cooperation as well as help foster our abilities to become better individuals.
And I’m just so done with the “But we are helping to De Nazifying the country” to “this is just a Special Military Operation” to “there are bio weapons being developed”. To which I say, “you can just F(beep!) Off with your bulls(beep!) and F(beep!) right back to the womb from when you came.”
