I did a thing!
So. I have always wanted to get into making figurines. I love modelling, but have never been in a state (health, space and financially) where i could actually do it.
Arimah have been so insanely good to me. What the heck. So I wanted to make something for her as a surprise and i saw my chance to finally take the leap. This is the first time making a figurine and it was so freaking FUN!! My only regret is that i didn't got into it sooner. It's not perfect. It got flaws. But i actually finished it! Aaaaa!
This little project was both experimental and acted as a sort of rehab for my many health issues.
I have never worked with this material before and i wanted to see how well i worked for this sort of thing. The answer: it was tedious. It works, but it requires extra and unnecessary effort. Epoxy putty is difficult to sculpt with. Tho in it's harden state (after a few hours) it is very easy to carve.
It's always easier for me to find motivation to do something when I'm doing it for someone i care about. It is also the first time in 2.5 years that i work with a deadline, which is something i need to relearn after the long time I've been away from work and school. I'm still far from recovered, but the fact that i was able to finish this project was a HUGE accomplishment.
