More finishing up old sketches/playing around with creature designs--this one started off as something more like a rat or jerboa with a vaguely "cute fantasy character" aesthetic, until I started playing around with opossum features as well.
Like a lot of my one-off designs, I haven't really decided what, if anything, I'll do with it yet--aspects of this design remind me of various other critters I've designed in the past and eventually just decided to use as alien races to populate the galaxy, including the Jeroban, Petaura, Wallakarra and Ysel.

Thanks! It was fun drawing the tail with a little curl to it, but I haven't decided if the tail does anything special yet.
Being able to curl it up to keep it out of the way so it doesn't get caught on things, stepped on, slammed in doors, etc. might be a useful adaptation for a creature with a long tail like that though.
