A tip to all heros who are interested in the purchase of a magical sword. Buyer beware. Things glow because they are emitting particles of one form of energy or another, alright, but when you stop to consider the capitalist mind of the average merchant, you realize one simple fact, hiring a spellbinding metalworker is expensive and dangerous (dangerous because you dont want to cross them..or else want to spend the rest of your life as a hammer.) and between the two it rather decreases their profit margin... It is rather a bit easier to just pay a regular blacksmith to hammer bits of radium into a few swords...

Of course, this doesn't matter much anyway. The intelligence stat of the average sword carrying hero is far too low to use the enchantment properly anyway, and life expectancy far too short to have to worry about developing cancer..... this is probably best either way, where as prolonged exposure to radium may cause you to die of cancer, prolonged exposure to a compressed magical field that is slowly decaying will make you wish you had died of cancer...
