Funny that they would get angry over hoarding artifacts from other religions, when the church pretty much assimilated (and bastardized) many holidays, rituals and religious figures from numerous pagan faiths in order to make it easier to convert people around the world.

I think that's because those religions are still active in this world. Zarpaulus, for example, mentioned that Egypt still has a pharaoh.
