The original reference of her has her in her mid 30's and the point in which she had a motherly, Torielesque charm. But As someone who is familiar with scientists I really wanted to show what a younger version of her might be like. Someone who is not necessarily morally black but maybe someone who has participated in experiments that were not exactly what most people want to think about when they think of "Scientific experiments". Someone who can still be kind, but won't stepped on or pushed about. Someone who understood that normal ethics may not completely apply for Science meant to further the progressive of the world.

Perhaps a Cruel twist of fate sets her on the path of the motherly figure, haunted by deeds that technically helped a lot more than hurt. It's amazing what having/accepting a child can do to your mindset.

It's also amazing how someone's "heaven" can be the source of your own torment.. but that's a different topic for another day...
