Designed as a Urban Environment Enforcement Walker, the TIE Roamer was intended to roam the streets of urban environments and enforce imperial rule. The Design featured a number of advantages like a raised photoreceptor periscope to give the operator a 360 degree veiw around the walker, two additional photoreceptors mounted on a pair of pods that could swivel around to face the rear and mounted a pair of anti-personnel blasters just below/above the photoreceptor, and the biggest piece of equipment being twin Anti-Vehicle laser canon turret mounted to the underside of the Vehicle
