Designed as a revision to the previous EX-P4 Model, with the approval of the TIE Walker Mk II it was hoped that an adaption of the EX-P4 to resemble the frame of the EX-P3/A would get a similar reaction and it did but the Battle of the Endor had just occurred. Rather than allowing the New Republic so much of a glimpse of anything more advanced than the EX-P2, the EX-P3 and EX-p$ dats was lost until it would resurface in the Imperial Remnant.
