Thought to try drawing something with that rubbery shine. So that required a figure to start from and I've been putting Spunky through enough, lately. So this rabbit shape is based on a ringholder we have in the kitchen. That figure's a shiny metal piece and is worth some study as that for being a highly reflective surface, but I'm nowhere near able to do reflections on curved surfaces.
So this is your basic not-quite-opaque black with white highlights done to give it a shine. From this I learn that the complete featurelessness of the original key holder --- it hasn't got a face or shoulders or anything, just nice simple bulbs --- makes it hard to put reflections anywhere particular. They're all just, you know, arbitrarily there.
Anyway, this gives me a little bit of practice drawing a shiny, rubbery surface. Maybe next time I can match it to a figure. Spunky, get yourself ready.
