Sup everybody! Here's an adorable new pic I got from  DiDihell

It's of my character, Darius, meeting his son, Isaac, he accidentally had with Esh for the first time - and as you can see, he's immediately smitten by the little guy.

When last we saw them, Esh had found out she was pregnant with Darius's kid after a few too many rounds of "unprotected love-making". Now when he heard the news, Darius was instantly in denial. In his mind, there was no way he and Esh could have conceived a child - she was on birth control and he had a vasectomy. But in a world filled with such certainties, the uncertain can still happen - birth control can fail and severed vas deferens can reconnect; resulting in the miracle to occur even in the face of our best efforts.

Now as expected, Darius immediately started freaking out. He wasn't ready to be a dad, and the thought of having to become one IMMEDIATELY frightened him - but to Esh, this was no surprise. She had already been through this three times when she had her three boys, and she especially remembered the first time how much her ex-husband freaked out when he learned she was pregnant. And so, not wishing to startle him even more, Esh decided the best thing to do at that time was focus on having their kid and let Darius come to terms with it on his own. She wasn't going to waste her time chasing after the baby's daddy when she could better spend it making sure everything was perfect for their kid.

Now during her pregnancy, Esh and Darius still stayed in touch with each other. He would check up on her to make sure she was alright and even take her out to eat if she was hungry. The two were still good friends, even if random circumstances would have them becoming something more. Now during these exchanges, Esh could tell that Darius was still on the fence about claiming this baby as his own - but as mentioned earlier, she had no interest in pushing the case when she had more important things to worry about. In all actuality, it would be quite sometime later after she had their kid that she would see signs of Darius finally coming around.

It was almost a year after Esh gave birth that Darius called her up and asked if he could meet his "possibly" kid. Now despite periodically checking up on her, Darius generally kept his distance from actually seeing his maybe baby until he was in the right headspace. But after some time had passed and he became more comfortable with the idea of becoming a dad, he finally decided it was about time that he set out to meet him.

Now as you could imagine, Darius was nervous as hell when he arrived at Esh's house. Once Esh and he did some catching up, Esh excused herself to the nursery and after what seemed like an eternity to Darius, came out carrying a pink little panther in her arms. Now the moment Darius laid eyes on him, there was no doubt in his mind that this was his kid. From his big plump cheeks to his striking purple eyes, everything about him made Darius absolutely adore him - especially when their gazes met and his little pink tail started wagging in the air. Taken back, Darius could barely speak as Esh introduced their son, Isaac, to his daddy. After finally finding the words, Darius introduced himself to Isaac which brought a playful giggle to the little guy's face. Completely won over, Darius invited the two out for lunch so he could both begin to make things up to them for his absence, as well as discuss with Esh what they could do going forward.

Now after some talking, Darius decided to move in with Esh so that he could better support her and Isaac. Now much to Esh's surprise and delight, Darius got along quite well with her three teenage boys when they alternated between staying with her and their father - so much so that they started seeing him like an older brother. Now as time went on, Darius and Esh, who at first treated each other as friends, ultimately grew closer together to the point that they eventually got hitched and became husband and wife. And wouldn't you know it, things didn't slow down from there, because about a year into their marriage - the impossible happened a SECOND time, and Esh found herself pregnant yet again with Darius's second kid and her first daughter.

Anyway, that wraps things up on this "What If..." scenario between Darius and Esh. I hoped you guys enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed coming up with it. I'm gonna get to work coming up with some more alternate stories involving my characters, so be on the lookout for the next one in the future.
