start at the green dot, behind the six dumbest combines in the world. Live out your spy fantisy by assasinating them from behind. Alyx will aks "ah, why can't it always be this easy?"

with those six down, move past the shelfs in this room and take out another combine hiding near the counter. there is are two easter egg's here. If you innteract with the snow jacket on one of the shelfs, you'll unlock an coustume for alyx, "skier" and the achivement "shoping around".

Break the lock on the door behind the counter and enter the store room. Take out he single combine and enspect the skis for the second easter egg, which is a Ski pike as a weapon to replace the crowbar.

exit the store room through what was once the door and ignore the combine solder and atack the headcrab wolf to the left of where you enter the hall. Then atack the combine sholder and move on down the hall away from the rubble. You will come up on three more combines.

the way ahead is blocked by a blue field so take a right into a small resturant and prepare to take cover behind a bentch as twenty combine shoilders atack through the west doorway of the resturant. When they are all down, exit through the west dorway and enter the Lobby. At this point Alyx will state the obvious, tell you that you must have by luck found the Ever Winter Lodge. At this point, two more combine sholders will atack from behind you. Take them out and take their energy ball gun.

don't go up the stairs just yet, as on top a Turret is wating for you. Instead, head toward the arched doorway at the end of the lobby near the desk. in the lobby are four captive reistance fighters that you can get to aid you in the Inn. Before alyx can hack the feild, combine fire will come through the broken window on the right wall, just behind the checkin desk. Crawl over to the window and toss a gernade out of it to kill the combine outside.

With that taken careoff, Alyx trys to hack the feild but instead opens a metal box on the side of the door. Inside is a plug that you need to pull out via Gravetly gun as it is electrified.

With the feild down, the four reisitance sholders join you, and one of them is a medic that will try to keep you in top health for the rest of the level.

With your four friends in tow, head back to the stairs and wait as one of them throws a sticky gernade at the turret which disables it. Climb up the stairs now second floor, blue stairs

If you decide to come down the yellow stairs, start again at the yellow A and take out the three hunters. You can lure them to the stairs and fire at them via the RPG though the cross bow works just as well. This part is not nessecary, but if you can take out all three and keep all four resitance fighters alive, you'll get the "sports bar party" achivement and get the drunk friends unlockable easteregg. Via this easter egg, All of your Ai will sound like the Heavy from TF2 after he's downed a lot of beer.
