The journey home tonight seems to take longer as she was thinking of the right thing to say the entire way. Quietly she keys into the apartment. She can smell something delicious coming from the kitchen. Not one day has gone hungry. Daryl gets up early and prepares breakfast and lunch for the both of them. On most days he is home before her and dinner is ready and waiting.

Lost in the scent wafting through the air she almost missed the note waiting for her in the hall topped with her favorite flower. Daryl had a way with words and knew what chords to hit in his note. There was a hot bath waiting on her specially prepared with some fresh lavender.
