This level is called Boriallis caverns.

climb down the latter and take a moment to look at the Aputure science desk and comptuer hooked up to a Car battery. Alyx comments on how it is just like the computer you found back in the mines. The old man tells you it is, and that it was part of the Dry dock that Boriallis was at. Keep moving along the cave-like tunnel and you'll see two steel and glass doors. There is a opening between them and a Poison head crab wating to pounce on the other side of the chasim. Fire at it from the opening in the rock and you'll have one less thing to worry about.

From here folow the cave around the bend and defend Alyx as she walks around another thin ledge. You will have to keep her safe from about 10 posion headcrabs that are hugging the walls. When she gets to the other side, she'll turn a valve causeing the bottomless pit to fill with water, to the point that a ruined walkway rises up out of the dark for you to cross over.

You and the old man join her a tht eother side and contiune your treck deeper into the tunnel. Wait at the door for Alyx and the man to get the generator going and prepare to fight off the six headcrabs inside. From there walk down the tunnel and to the right to find a gate that you'll have to hold open for both alyx and the old man. Then they'll have to hold it open for you to get inside. From here, simply walk a few steps straight ahead and you'll be at a tram station with a tram wating for you. Get on.
