2010 FBA Draft Prospect - Wendy Brown
sketch 29/100
Well the FBA Draft is over, but that doesn't mean my job of drawing the prospects is done! I couldn't get them all done before the draft, but I am pretty close to finishing them now! I've got 5 more to finish, and 2 1/2 more are inked already. Hopefully, I can do something really awesome with them all once they are done. ^___^
This pic is of Wendy Brown, the fiesty saber-toothed tiger with a serious ATTITUDE! Ain't NO FUR tougher than her, and she lets it be known. Despite being 5'7" (yes yes, tiny tiger. ^^) she will not back down to anyone, big or small. She's a fearless little tank, and she likes things done her way, which may make things interesting over the pond in England, where she was drafted. It doesn't particularly help that the coach is a prey species. ;)
Here's hoping she gets along with the now-feline-heavy Bantams (with the Macon bros, Badd Will and McNice). And there will be a stiff fine if she eats the newly signed Bison, Jason Isaacs. ;)
Btw, she wanted to be number '0' on the Bantams, but McDyess had that number, so after grumbling and snarling about it for a while, and briefly playing with the idea of being number '00', she decided on '13'... "Because anyone who crosses paths with me is gonna feel pretty f****** unlucky."

Sabre-toothed tigers were thought to be extinct long ago, but Wendy Brown is living proof that there are still a few resilient ones around today. Except in her case, just calling her "resilient" doesn't do this ferocious feline justice.
Raised in rural Tennessee, Wendy is adapt at hunting and has super sharp reflexes and predatory skills. In fact it's sometimes quite difficult for her to hold her temper in check, as she is pretty sure she could kick the butt of any FBA player past or present, and with her absolutely perfect, chiseled physique and immense strength, I wouldn't bet against her.
She is practically a tank set on a tiny, 5'7" frame, and can outmuscle anyone at her position. Her small stature and hunting background also makes her extremely quick, with powerful haunches that can launch her many feet into the air for rebounds and massive slam dunks on unsuspecting shot-blockers. Her finely-tuned instincts also allow her to see things on the court before they happen, and she can practically smell when there's a gap in the defense, making her one of the top assisting point guards in the draft.
She is a leader on the court and regardless of her possible rookie status, she will snarl and spit if players don't listen to what she has to say, which can make for possible clashing with other strong personalities and coaches. She has a dependable jumpshot, though she rarely shoots from 3, not because she can't make it, but because she'd rather needle her way into the lane for layups and to get to the line, which she does quite easily and often.
With the uncanny ability to see defenses in slow motion and react before they do, along with her unshakable confidence (or rather ego) she is excellent at setting up teammates, penetrating through and around defenders, and never faltering under pressure. Given her strength and explosiveness honed from her predatory upbringing, she is much more effective on the defensive end than one would think a player of her size should be, soaring for occasional blocks and pouncing out of passing lanes to snag steals.
She is a very quick learner, and though she's only been playing basketball for 7 years, she is a star in the making and the sky is the limit. Small in size, but gigantic in guts, drive and talent, Wendy is one firecracker you don't want to mess around with. She takes great pride in being one of few sabre-toothed tigers to still be around at all, much less the FBA, and she's not shy about reminding others why she's made it this far.

ok if someone is willing to rp her with Katalina, then I'd be more than happy to adapt the rp to a story. Credit of course to the person who rp's her with me.
it can be done via note, im or email fashion.
I know, strange request, but well it Could be something quite interesting!

Not to mention the flesh of fellow FBA players is in danger. O,o Don't want another Julio Onca incident happening!
But she, like other clawed players, is required to keep her claws sheathed if she is unwilling to wear gloves or those rubber tips. If she doesn't keep the claws in, well, the penalties in lieu of previous clawings that still affect the FBA today will not be pretty.

Onca would very much have his paws full! Knowing that he's probably one more clawing incident away from league banishment, he'd not know whether to fight back or run and risk looking silly running from a 5'7" girl. :P
But I would strongly advise Krystal against stealing her jersey... Brown still has predatory instincts you know. X,x

true true and yeah that could be a tatic the Bantams through at Oncas team put Wendy Brown on him basically take him out of his game. Because he would run into that problem. And yes Krystal would probly have to run and run fast. Maybe easier to use Ebay or maybe try and get one from team store *lol*. Or try to swap jerseys after a game.
As always, great stuff. Your attention to detail requires me to look at your pictures more than once.
I know I'm not the first to say this, but I would totally love to see Brown and Onca play each other. These seem like players that like to strut their stuff just a tad too much and one of them will be more than one piece of humble pie. Sorry, but players that take the game (or their egos) so seriously that they will hurt another player, just sours the game for me.

Yeah, Onca is famous for his tough-guy attitude, and he has the muscles and suspension record to prove it. Though under a new, strict coach and on his last chance to do right, he may actually tone it down a bit.
Brown, on the other hand, is new to all this, but still is very confident in her toughness. She's strong enough to compete with those types of players and will not back down. I don't know if she'll go as far as to hurt another player on the court (unless they do something to her first) but there will at least be a lot of trash talking and shoving.
Brown, like Onca, still want to win. They aren't complete thugs, but they think very highly of themselves and are very Alpha-like. I'm sure one of them will get some of that humble pie the first time they meet.
