Okay fun fact before you accuse me of title theft, this is actually what I originally wanted to call this when I saw it. Just so happens the artist had the same idea and uploaded first, I'm innocent I swear
That aside, an adorable and breathtakingly beautiful gift piece that Feral decided to be a meanie and bully me with, of the two cute beans looking at the stars above, on a clear night sky. Which funnily, is an idea we had early on, well we talked about it a bunch, but other ideas butted their way in as early doodles, so it got pushed a little back. Until he decided to be mean and attack me with this, how rude :<
Not sure what constellations they're looking for, but based on Ashura pointing up and seemingly being in the middle of talking, I'm assuming she's likely showing Avilyn her favourite ones, or talking about the stars as a whole, or maybe telling stories about how before she was a fairy, she'd sometimes follow the stars and use certain ones as directional aids. Either that or she's just going "look, it shiny and pretty, like you!"
(There could be some LORE to be had here!)
Avilyn seems to be listening very intently, though, so it must be interesting. Or Ashura just has a soothing voice to listen to, suppose that could be a thing too.
She does need to be a little careful with that right paw of hers though, it's awfully close to stepping on something not meant to be stepped on!

OMG, those tags XD I’m glad you enjoy her new extra floofy mane hehe. I love the idea of Ashura explaining to Avilyn about stars and constellations, of course she would be attentively listening! She is always interested in what Ashura has to say. I’m so glad you liked the art <3
I know this is an older picture but I just had to say this an amazing piece. Also that your little rambling stories in the artis comments section gives so much extra depth for the piece.
Speaking of your commentary, what exactly would happen if Avilyn stepped on her antenna? Would ashura react like a cats who’s tail you just step on? Or would it be Availyn who reacted as if they just got electrocuted? Or would both react? Or would it act like a conduit between them and there inner thoughts could be read by the other?

And pretty much yea! The lore behind it at the time, and currently since I'm pretty sure I haven't changed it, is that they're sensitive because of their function, so if stepped on, depending on how much pressure is applied of course, she would be in discomfort and react accordingly <:
It's not a super fleshed out aspect of her, so it is subject to change of course, since it's not really come up, but yea <:
