Great Grandma Olivia sent Sophia a little postcard after she visited a week ago, using a photo they took at that visit to boot.
Most Crobats suffer from resting bitchface, but not Sophia, and we've now officially seen where she got that grin from! Her great-grandmother Olivia who happens to be a Gengar! In fact, this makes sense in terms of egg groups too, as while Crobat's in the 'flying' egg group, one of Sophia's parents is an Altaria, who is in the 'dragon+flying' egg groups. Following that branch of the family tree, one of Sophia's grandparents is a Dragapult which is in the 'dragon+amorphous' egg groups, and that one's mother was Olivia. Gengar is in the amorphous egg group, and so that's where the gengar grin slowly trickled its way down the decendants!
On top of that, because Gengar's a ghost type, Olivia has a much longer 'lifespan' so to speak than most other pokes, and that's why she barely look like she's in her 50-60s here despite being well over a century old. Great grangran's still hanging in there and can spend some more time with her family! <3 By the way, don't forget that Sophia IS still 4 meters tall, so not only can she fly to visit her greatgrangran faster than just sitting around to wait for a plane, she also easily dwarf Olivia, but it just provides a good resting spot for the Gengar! x3 Oh and their eye and sclera colors are swapped :3
