The bulky and ill named TIE Gull was a water craft meant to stay low to the water, while it was capable of flight it was only for docking or leaving the mothership and clearing obstacles. The TIE Gull was the ugly cousin of the much beloved TIE Riptide, the more elegant and nimble craft being the better armed of the duo while the TIE Gull was better suited to patrolling areas with low clearance and not much else.
