TBH I wasn’t as interested in seeing Sing 2 at first because “It’s the studio that gave us the Minions” and “They’ll just show the whole movie through the trailers anyway.” But after watching clips of it, I honestly really wish I saw it. Especially because of Porsha! And I’d be lying to myself if I said I didn’t like the original movie! I love how they developed the characters in it showing why they joined a singing competition and why they wanted to change their lives with the prize money only to end up working together and put on a show and everyone ended up having their voices heard in the end! It was really nice! And I really love Porsha as a character! Yes, she’s kinda spoiled, but also free-spirited and adorable! And I love how her performance singing “Could Have Been Me” is really about her finding her inner strength and expressing herself for the world to see and finally stand on her own two feet separate from her dad who only wants to see her succeed just so he can look good. That was truly a powerful number! And that song deserved the attention a movie like Sing 2 could give! (A lot!)
