"'The gigantic ailurene looked down towards her smaller companion, once separated like a cub from his mother's womb and borne from flesh that was not hers, but was still at least in spirit, because she loved him, loved him from the first time she opened her eyes in her new world, across the breach of harrying horror towards and falling, apotheotic, towards this other place born from and borne with optimism-by-archetype.
'"Ka'tch'Ian M'Ress, where I once was I knew the only way I could hide the tears that welled every time I opened my eyes was to laugh in the only way I could." She leaned down to the smaller ailurene, her voice a purr like the one once belonging to his mother whom he remembered distantly; but it was closer now, like her smell, the taste of her aerosoled saliva as she spoke, softly as his mother Shibolene once spoke to him, all those years ago when he first learned to stand on his hindpaws from scurrying and pouncing with both his bare hands and feet. "I could only choke back my fear of being alone, unique and abandoned on board that starship in my cargo-bay home, by roaring, by binding myself in a savage curtain, or as a sultry, rumbling lover, even if no-one who shared a bed with me knew what love really was, and not a contract for intimacy that meant nothing else after we parted company, often more than once. I could only learn about what I was in those small, quiet moments therein by telling myself I was a monster." She dipped her muzzle slightly, pushing an enormous nosepad against her little star-cat, the Caitian's long vibrissae gently brushing her companion's. Ka'tch'Ian M'Ress smelled her tears before he saw them glistening softly as their moist rivulets ran through and down her golden cheekfur.'
"I do not see a monster, Shibolene," said Ka'tch'Ian in his soft baritone purr, hearing meshed his own voice and his mother's in the same resonance, in breath expelled. "You are not a monster, and you will never be a monster, not here, in this place, nor in my heart. I know you're never going to know what happened to everyone where you came from, and you'll likely never forget the horror you saw, and the horror you met and were met by. But your heart will forget that horror, if we fill it with something else, something that horror can't abide." He gently lifted her massive, felinoid muzzle to his smaller lips to match hers, and pressed his gently to her own. "I will fill it with wonderful surprises and firm purpose, if you will share my meeting with your own, and make it ours together."

"And yes, my beloved giantess Shibolene can drink a whole bar twice under the table, then she zoomies. Terran Ethanol alcohol converts into pseudoamphetamine chemicals via a Caitian's soft organs."
"...Thirty tonne felinoids having zoomies can break things. It is only appropriate."
